About the founder

I’ve spent over 20 years helping people navigate the pivotal moments in their professional lives – the transitions, the reinventions, and the courageous decisions to change direction when staying put is no longer an option.

Before founding The Gear Changer in 2024, I served as Joint Head of Personal Development & Welfare at The Professional Cricketers Association (PCA), where I spent years shaping the lives and careers of professional athletes facing some of the most challenging transitions imaginable.

In that role, I had strategic responsibility for programme design whilst also providing intensive one-to-one career and wellbeing support to players navigating retirement, injury, loss of form, and identity shifts.

As a former professional cricketer and rugby player myself, I understand high-performance environments from the inside – the pressure, the identity challenges, the need to perform whilst managing uncertainty, and the difficulty of knowing when to push through and when to change direction.

This background gives me an instinctive understanding of what my clients face: the gap between external success and internal fulfilment, the courage it takes to admit something isn’t working, and the discipline required to build something new.
